Did anyone catch the episode of
Curb Appeal- The Block this weekend? I was amazed by the transformation. It started out as humdrum house- but with the addition of some smart planning and awesome woodslats- it became a
modern masterpiece! I have always loved the use of horizontal woodslats, but usually associate them with only outdoor dividing walls. Never really considered them as an architectural solution especially for a traditional looking house as the one featured on the show.

Major kudos to the vision of designer
John Gidding- More details
here and
here. The episode (HCRBL-109H) should be repeating this week- definitely try to check it out! (images from
HGTV on my tv)
