As I've mentioned before, I'm still holding on to "summer" for as long as I can, but I can't help but be a little excited about the upcoming things that will be popping up for the holidays. Fall always brings about new changes and fun things to look at, so there will be lots of eye candy to come our way. Yesterday, I got a preview promotional piece from
Method, about their upcoming Holiday promotion. "Green" lifestyle personality,
Danny Seo, has designed this "plastic bag rehab" reusable shopping bag that will be used as a gift from Method.

Following along the same lines as the highly popular "I'm not a plastic bag" by
Anya Hindmarch, there is a groovy "plastic bag rehab" graphic on the front, and on the other side are "16 ways to feel better and look good" while using the bag. This tote is made of rip stop nylon. It also has a little zipper pouch inside too.

One side is green, and the inside lining is a light blue. Method will be starting this promotion next month (October). If you spend $20 worth of Method products, you will be able to mail/fax/scan proof of purchase to the fulfillment house, and they'll send you a bag (while supplies last). Also, if you buy over $20 worth of products via their website, the bag will automatically be mailed to you. More info and details will be available next month. Seems like it will be a fun way to help keep your home health-ier during the mad shopping crazy holidays. Do you guys use re-usable shopping bags?

Looks like a very sturdy shopping bag! Perhaps a little too sturdy even? How are you supposed to fit that into your normal bag?
I use a reusable cotton bag for grocery shopping, and the nice thing about it is that it is actually already reused! it's an old bag that has been reprinted, and i bought it at Episode in Amsterdam. It is very light weight, so it doesn't take up any space in my bag, which means i carry it with me all the time.
hi emma-
it's actually pretty thin- the seams are reinforced, but the rest of it is very lightweight, so it can fold down quite easily since it's made of nylon. there actually isn't a hard gusset on the bottom, so there isn't any hard construction to deal with. I'm including a picture of it folded down here.
I use reusable bags (unless I forget them in the car which drives me crazy!) I use these which have a little pouch inside that they fold into. so they hardly take up any space while you are using them!
I already use Method stuff anyone, so I'll have to get one of these!
I use Envirosax, and I love them. The people at my grocery store are consistently confused by them though.
I have a giant, blue IKEA bag and a net bag that fits in my purse. But I live in the burbs, so I don't use it a whole lot.
oh, the timing of this couldn't be better! i was about to purchase quite a bit of method merch, but i think i will hold off- thanks for posting this :)
groovy bag!
i'd love to trade in my boring whole foods bag for this :)
Cool. I spend a ton on method anyway, so I will definitely send in for one; add it to my odd assortment of reusable bags.
