butterfly bouquet
I'm not much of a wedding guy, but how gorgeous is this alternative bouquet?! Could be beatiful as a centerpiece too... Saw it in the current Martha Stewart Weddings issue. It's made of silk and feather butterflies. How to is here. (photo by Justin Bernhaut for MSW)

Donna Hay products
I think Donna Hay magazine is one of the yummiest magazines out there. I often feel if only every day could be like a Donna Hay photo spread- all scrumptious and yummy and fabulous. (sigh)... Well looks like Donna Hay is going the Martha route and recently came out with a products line- including housewares, a food range, and even a retail store! Sadly for me, it's only in Australia. you lucky Aussies you!!
At first glance, it totally looks Martha-ish with the blue color, but I love the use of the photography and the playful angled ribbon motif across. The design was by Frost Design. I'm hungry now. more here. (via the dieline)

Mike Perry and DWR
Mike Perry is going to be part of a charity event at the DWR Tools for Living shop in Soho. It's called "Nesting Works." He recently did the window as part of DWR's Artist window series. The piece is inspired by the word "Home"- check out more here, and here's a sneak peak at one of the pieces Mike's going to have for the show.
The show opens July 23, 2009- from 7-10pm. More info here. For those in the OC like me, I heard they opened a DWR tools for Living store at Fashion Island as well. Haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Have any of you?

new help!
I've mentioned the brilliant line called Help I need Help before- Created by Richard Fine, the line really just makes medicine less scary.
He's simplified everything, and added a bit of humor to the whole process- and as they say, "laughter is the best medicine"- There are some new additions to the line and both the website and packaging have been updated.
I especially love the new "sleep" package- which includes 16 caplets of diphenhydramineHCI- definitely check out the website page for it- there's a little lullaby soundbyte that is just genius. (And just between you and me, a little bird told me that the person singing may (or may not) be Richard himself!)anyway- check out the entire line here.
Lauren Saunders Felt Collection
I'm such a big fan of Lauren Saunders. Her recent Felt collection is totally speaking to me right now. Love the textures and color combinations.
Check out the entire collection here, and her other pieces here.

writing on the wall
Look at this really clever notebook called "Walls"- Basically you can channel your inner graffiti artist and not have to worry about being caught for vandalism! The notebook has tons of pages that feature pictures of blank walls for you to doodle on!

Check out more on the official site here (where you can virtually test it out- fun!!), and you can also get it here.

mundane aesthetic: natural texture
Great natural colored texture. You'd think it'd be from some wall of a mid century building, but in fact, it's just a close up detail of the new sponge from ScotchBright's Greener Clean line.
The sponge is made from natural fibers and also part recycled paper, so they're biodegradable.
I picked these up at Target. Check out the whole line here.

Eames footage
Here's an interesting video, from a 2007 Ted conference. Eames Demetrios talks about the Eames creative process and shows a lot of rarely seen clips from their archives. It's a little long (about 15 minutes) and he kind of speeds through it- but fun and inspiring to see the clips nonetheless. (via Core77)
