Spray paint bandits: chair results

So here it is, the final results of my chair redo. I did two of them, but here is a shot of one. Overall I'm pretty pleased. I'm still on the fence about reupholstering the seat with a different fabric, but I can always change that later. I'm currently considering adding a rug underneath my table, but this is how it will be for now... Anyway- it's been a crazy few days around these parts (rain, chaos, craziness) so I'm jetting off for a quick weekend getaway. If I'm lucky, maybe even play in some snow! I'll probably post some over the weekend, so stay tuned and hope you're having a great friday!

Love the outcome, really looks great. I wonder what it would be like in reverse, with just white feet.

I agree there is something off about the upholstery. The off white looks dirty against the crisp frame. What about a color?

Wow, it looks great! Even better than the Anthro chair (in my humble opinion).

it looks really good! I would consider upgrading the fabric. Even something in a similar cool in a boiled wool would be great!

I think they look better than the expensive chairs, as well!

i've loved all the spray painting projects you've been doing. i was wondering if you could help me out. a few years ago my husband bought me the Noresund bed frame from Ikea. I've never really liked it BUT i was thinking I would like it more if it was white. Do you think i could just spray paint it like you've done or do i need to do some prep work? Please help me with suggestions to help me like this bed frame more! Thank you!

hey shar- I think you should go for it! However, for something as big as a bedframe, I would not spray paint it, but just use regular paint with a brush or roller. Definitely prep it- give it a light sanding and then I fully recommend priming it with primer paint- then coat it with some semi gloss paint. Anyone else have any other tips or suggestions for Shar?

The chair looks great. Can't decide whether I like the "socks" better on the curvy Anthro chair or your angular, square version. It looks very modern and fresh.

that looks so cute! such a vast improvement of the chair, and it actually makes the shape a bit sexier. and, since you're taking opinions, i think a neutral solid or pattern would look cute - but i wouldn't pick something too busy. i think it would distract from the clean aesthetic! :)

Yes, reupholster! Something that goes with your yellow and blue-- take a look at this painting for inspiration: I think the Tobias twins use the same colors as are in your room.
