I got an update to the post I did the yesterday, directly from the source! (and they gave me a much better photo!) The kind folks at Method told me that the "Bloq" line will launch mid-April (next month!). It will be available in four formats: body wash, lotion, shave cream, and bar soap. The Bloq line is naturally derived, biodegradable, paraben-free, and has not been tested on animals. There will also be four scents that have been designed to match four moods: green mint for the "go getter", water flower for the "pure minimalist", beach sage for the "escape artist", and citron leaf for the "eternal optimist." I can't wait to see what these smell like. I'm thinking I might be Beach sage, but I'm always drawn to citrus flavors... although I love mint too... I wonder what "water flower" would smell like?... Which one do you think you'd go for?

that's super-exciting!!
I can't wait to try them.
If their water flower is anything like their sweet water scent, that's what I'd go for. I like things that smell clean and not like any one particular indetifiable scent.
I'm ridiculously excited about this!
No possible idea which one I'd choose until I can do a sniff test, and if these new offerings hold up to Method's usual standards, it will still be a very tough choice. I sure do loves me some Method.
p.s. Method people, if you read this too, is there any hope of ever having re-filling stations at Target for your products? You know, to cut down on the waste even more? Refill sizes for more products would help too. I already buy handsoap refills and love them.
beach sage!
While I do love Sweet Water, I'm leaning towards Beach Sage.
I live in NYC and have no car to drive out a Target. I found the handsoap just once at a CVS (in NJ). Otherwise, I'd pick up the cucumber dish soap & a couple things when I would be in LA (used to go out there quite often).
However, a several months ago I discovered a good range of Method products at the Home Depot in Chelsea (Manhattan)! Hooray! I tried lots more things. So I hope the Home Depot gets the Bloq!
BTW, I'm with Candice - a re-filling station is a good idea (for when I can catch a ride to Target, that is).
hey kate (pm)- apparently the Bloq line will also be available at Duane Reade stores in NYC-
I love this! I've been a Method convert for years now and can't wait to see these on the shelves. I'll have to sniff first, although I think water flowers sounds lovely.
Ooh -- I missed that these would be available at Duane Reade. Excellent. In Manhattan, Duane Reades are as common as Starbucks -- which you know is just about every block! :)
Thanks, Jon!
Oooh, I want to try the water flower. My rule of thumb when having to choose between scents without smelling them firsthand is to always go for the one with "water" or "ocean" or "sea" or "waterfall" or anything water related in the name. It almost always works out well for me.
sweet. im so ready for these!
I love Method Home. I like their eco-friendly stance, although I take issue with some of the Karim Rashid designs. Definitely will take a gander at these!
Love the package. Any hope that they'll introduce a size for travel, same shape that will pass airport security for liquid limits? That would be great.
Hi Everyone
This is Josh, one of the designers at method and designer of the bloq bottle.
I'm really excited that you are all really excited! We worked hard on the bottles to make sure that they were fun and easy to squeeze, and sat well in your bathrooms, taking little room
Candice - you'll find the scents pretty amazing - I have been trying them for the last month or so and I think it's the best work our fragrance designers have done to date! The beach sage is great - when I asked Erik, one of our packing engineers what it was like, he said that it reminded him of driving through the "presidio" here in San Francisco with the windows down.... Made me want to buy it... The thing that is not mentioned in the blog is that we are also launching 4 bar soaps in the line and they are phenomenal!
Kurberry, - you're right! a travel size would be great - It might be a good idea to make the bottle a little more pocket/suitcase friendly!
Candice - great idea about the refills - we are a little small to make this work for target, but we're trying and growing fast!
I think the bloq line is awesome. I got my advocate package in the mail Friday... the soap remind's me of the quality that is in l'occitaine soaps... heck I even like it better. The body lotion is just yummy... not greasy.
KUDOS for a fine product line!!!! I cant wait to try the rest... I was at Target today and nothing on the shelves yet.... i am impatient methodologist! hehe
Just bought the entier line at Target, the shower gel and the body lotion were just amazing. The shave creme was a bit dissapointing though, maybe it's better for shaving legs, but i used it to shave my face and it dragged my razor. Overall though a really great product line!
I have the bar soaps in each scent. So far I've only tried the Beach Sage, and I really like it. It's well scented with a very fresh and kind of addictive fragrance, and the soap itself produces a very creamy lather. I love it. Can't wait to try the rest!
Well green mint is super great. But where can i buy it? i got one from someone else. so... what is the name of the store? and where is it? and how much? could you please tell me? thanks a lot.
